Myth Project Links

Here are some links to fun web sites for your projects. Make sure to use your books, these web sites, and any other sites that you may find. Ask if you have any questions! Bona fortuna!

www.mythweb.com
http://www.loggia.com/myth/myth.html
http://www.hol.gr/greece/olymp.htm

NOTA BENE: Do NOT copy and paste information from web sites and use it for your presentation. Put everything in your OWN words. Severe penalty will result in plagiarism or copying!

A note about pop quizzes...

Yes, you will have pop quizzes this year. It is to help you spread out your studying (so you do not cram at the end of the week and start crying, etc. Crying too often can give you sinus infections!). The pop quizzes will also help you in that you will not have as much material to study for one huge test.
Keep in mind that pop quizzes are based on either the homework the night before or something that you should definitely know (like "puella = the girl"). Therefore, do your homework well so you cut down on study time in the end (and for the unfortunate event that I feel like being evil and giving a pop quiz).
The moral of the story: DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!

I hope that you all had a wonderful break! Now it's time to get back to work! Here is the work for this week:

Septimi (VII): Quiz Friday, September 8th on: Chapter 2 vocabulary; derivatives (amicable, agriculture, amble, brevity, temporary, strenuous, current); grammar (difference between singular and plural nouns/verbs; linking verbs est/sunt); "Cronus;" B.C. vs. A.D.; BCE vs. CE; AM vs. PM. = 25 points

Thursday (for Friday): STUDY!!!!! Bring blank flashcards to class if you wish to make vocab cards on flashcards. We will do that after the quiz.
Friday: Chapter 3 vocabulary cards if not completed in class.
Make sure to study a few vocabulary words each day! It takes less than 5 minutes, but will cut loads of study time off in the long run! Make sure to complete the homework that I give you -- it is directly related to your quizzes and exams, so completing it (well) will also cut down on study time.
